CAUSE AND/OR CORRECTION
PROCEDURE
The image of the received or transmitted
documents is no good. Lower the transmission
speed and perform the operation again or
consult with your telephone company.
The destination unit has run out of paper or its
memory has become full. Telephone the
destination party and have them load paper or
clear sufficient space in memory, as appropriate.
Polling reception was attempted, but was
unsuccessful because no documents had been
placed in the transmitting party's unit or the
documents were not placed correctly. Telephone
the transmitting party and have them set the
documents for polling transmission.
A communications error occurred during ECM
transmission. Turn the ECM Transmission
ON/OFF setting OFF.
Transmission was attempted, but was
unsuccessful because the necessary DC Loop
was not detected for dialling. Check all your
telephone line connections and make sure that a
modular cord other than that supplied with your
facsimile is not being used.
The other party's line is busy. Wait awhile and
attempt the transmission again.
Transmission was attempted, but was
unsuccessful because a dial tone could not be
detected. Check all your telephone line
connections.
The other party's facsimile does not answer.
Telephone the other party and have them check
if their facsimile is operating properly.
A busy dial tone was detected prior to dialling.
Check your telephone line. Wait awhile and
attempt the transmission again.
