• Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem
is solved.
• See the Parts Listing, TD200x Machine Types 3719, 3821, 3822, and 3823 to determine which
components are customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units
(FRU).
• If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must be performed only by
a trained service technician.

Description
A hard disk drive, SAS controller,
or RAID adapter error has
occurred.
a. This LED is also lit when a hard
disk drive is removed from the
server.
b. The error LED on the failing
hard disk drive is also lit.
c. Check the system-event log
for a RAID error.
A hardware error has been
reported to the operating system.
Action
a. Reinstall the removed drive.
b. Reseat the following components:
1) Failing hard disk drive
2) SAS hard disk drive backplane
3) SAS signal and power cables
4) System board
5) ServeRAID adapter
c. Replace the components listed in step one at a
time, in the order shown, restarting the server
each time.
a. See the system-event log (see System-event log).
b. If the PCI LED is lit, follow the instructions for that
LED.
c. If the MEM LED is lit, follow the instructions for
that LED.
d. Restart the server.
