Removing the T640 T-CBs

Figure 53: Removing a SIB

The router can have up to two T-CBs. These are located in the upper rear of the chassis
in the slots marked
CB0
and
Place an electrostatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.

Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to an approved site ESD grounding point. See the instructions for your site.
Loosen the captive screws on the ejector handles on both sides of the T-CB faceplate.
3.
Flip the ejector handles outward to unseat the T-CB.
4.
Grasp the ejector handles and slide the T-CB about halfway out of the chassis.
5.
Place one hand underneath the T-CB to support it and slide it completely out of the
6.
chassis. Place it on the antistatic mat.
CAUTION: Do not stack hardware components on one another after you
remove them. Place each component on an antistatic mat resting on a
stable, flat surface.
Repeat the procedure for the second T-CB.
