CLUTCH/STARTER CLUTCH
RIGHT CRANKCASE COVER
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the
right middle cowl (page 2-6).
Drain the engine
oil (Page 3-11).
Disconnect
the
CKP sensor 2P (Black) connector
[1].
Loosen
the
right
crankcase
cover bolts
[1] in
a
crisscross pattern in 2 or
3
steps.
Remove the following:
-
14 bolts
-
two stays
[2]
-
right crankcase cover
[3]
lll
CM
type
shown:
Be careful not
to
damage the mating
surfaces.
Remove the
dowel
pins
[1]
and
gasket
[2].
Clean any gasket
material
from the mating surfaces of
the crankcase and cover.
lnstallation is
in
the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:

Apply liquid
sealant
to
the
mating areas
of
crankcase as shown
(page
1-'17).

Replace the right crankcase cover gasket with a new
one.
Fill the
engine
with
the
recommended engine
oil
and
check that
there are
no oil leaks (page
3-1 '1
).
