Communicator Attached to a Network

In the example that follows, the calibrator connects directly
to a network. There must be a 250 Ω resistor in series with
the loop power supply and the HART® device
No function on CH2. HART® function is enabled and 250 Ω
resistor is set to Off
6.9

Use of Test Connections

Use the test connection with a HART® transmitter. Use CH1
to measure current and CH2 to communicate with the
HART® device. CH2 must be turned off, and CH1 must be
placed into current measure mode. There must be an
external HART® resistor in the loop
