Using the BayStack 660 Wireless LAN Access Point

Configuring your WEP Settings

Located in the Tools menu, you can open a WEP menu to configure the WEP
settings. The functions are similar to instructions described in Chapter 4. Go to
"Setting WEP" on page 4-19

BOOTP Table

Located in the Tools menu, you can open a BOOTP table to configure specific
settings for an access point. Options include adding a BOOTP entry, changing a
BOOTP entry, or setting up an access point so that the an IP address will be
assigned dynamically.

Adding a BOOTP Entry

The BOOTP table is only for the access points; that is, it will not give a BOOTP
address to another computer. Also, DHCP addressing takes precedence over other
addressing methods. This means that the access point will try DHCP first, before
it tries BOOTP.
After you assign a static IP address, the only way to use DHCP/BOOTP is to reset
the access point to its factory defaults.
To add a BOOTP entry:
Choose Tools > BOOTP Table.
1.
The BOOTP dialog box
5-12
for more information on setting up WEP.
(Figure
5-9) opens.
