5 GHz bands as specified in this document. The professional installer should verify the current channel of operation and the expected transmit power level of the WLAN Access Point 2330/2330A/2330B to confirm that the device is operating in conformance with the spectrum usage rules for the European Community country where the unit is being installed.
Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) This device implements a DFS feature in accordance with the limits in EN 301-893v1.2.3, Section 4.6 and Annex D, Tables D.1, D.2 & D.4 for a device operating in the mode defined as “Master”. Section 4.6, Tables 6 and 7 of this document define the requirements prior to using a channel and during normal operation for a Master device (i.e., Interference Detection Threshold, Channel Availability Check Time, Uniform Spreading, Channel Closing Transmission Time and Channel Move Time).
The said legal communications means radio communications is operated in compliance with the Telecommunications Act. The low power radio-frequency devices must be susceptible with the interference from legal communications or ISM radio wave radiated devices. WSS recommendation Nortel recommends that you install and configure the WSS before installing an AP. If the switch is already installed and configured for the access points, you can immediately verify the cable connection when you plug the cable into the RJ-45 port on the AP.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Docket 96-8 for Spread Spectrum Transmitters specifies a safety standard for human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic energy emitted by FCC-certified equipment. Nortel AP-2330/ 2330A/2330B products meet the uncontrolled environmental limits found in OET-65 and ANSI C95.1-1991, if proper installation procedures are followed.

AP-2330. A 4m (13 ft) ferrite beaded Cat-5e Ethernet cable and Cat-5e RJ-45 cable coupler are included with each AP-2330. The included cable must be used to connect the AP-2330 to the existing Ethernet network infrastructure. Connect the end of the cable closest to the molded-in ferrite bead to the AP's RJ-45 port.
PoE- Mounting an AP-2330 access point on a solid surface requires using a Cat-5e ferrite beaded cable that does not have strain relief. For installation on all other surfaces, you can use the Cat-5e ferrite beaded cable with or without strain relief.
