Warning function
Light in the exterior mirror
The light in the exterior mirror warns of a pos-
sible collision.
Advance warning
The dimmed light in the exterior mirror indi-
cates when vehicles are in the blind spot or are
approaching from the rear.
Acute warning
In case of an acute warning, the steering wheel
briefly vibrates and the light in the exterior mir-
ror flashes brightly.
An acute warning occurs when the following
conditions are met:
Another vehicle is located in the critical
area.
Your own vehicle is approaching the other
lane.
Depending on the system setting when the
turn indicator is turned on.
The warning is terminated when the other ve-
hicle has left the critical area or the turn indica-
tor has been switched off.
Flashing of light
A flashing of the light in exterior mirror during
vehicle unlocking serves as system self-test.
