when the vehicle is switched on.
The indicator light illuminates continuously:
there is a malfunction. Have the vehicle
checked immediately by a Service Partner of
the manufacturer or another qualified Service
Partner or a specialist workshop.

The parking brake is engaged.

Brake system
Fault in the brake system, braking
power assistance may be faulty. Con-
tinue driving at moderate speed. Avoid
abrupt braking, take longer stopping distance
into account.
Have the vehicle checked immediately by a
Service Partner of the manufacturer or another
qualified Service Partner or a specialist work-
shop.
Risk of collision
Check that indicator light is illuminated
or flashes in conjunction with an acous-
tic signal if a collision is imminent.

Pedestrian warning
Indicator light is illuminated: risk of col-
lision with a person has been detected.
Increased awareness is required.
Indicator light flashes and a signal sounds: col-
lision with a person is imminent. Intervene im-
mediately yourself according to the situation.

Collision Warning
Indicator light lights up: risk of collision,
e.g. with a vehicle. Increased aware-
ness is required.
Indicator light flashes and a signal sounds: col-
lision with a vehicle is imminent. Intervene im-
mediately yourself according to the situation.

Active Cruise Control with distance
control
Indicator light flashes and an acoustic
signal sounds: brake and take avoid-
ance manoeuvre, if necessary.

Yellow lights
Anti-lock Braking System
System failure. Ease of steering is re-
stricted during full braking.
Avoid sudden braking. Bear in mind
that stopping distances will be longer.

Service Partner of the manufacturer or another
qualified Service Partner or a specialist work-
shop.
