28) Remove the spool valve from the inside of the cylinder
comp.

Remove the backup ring from the spool valve.
Replace the backup ring with a new one on reassembly.

29) Bend a piece of piano wire [O.D.: 1.5 mm (0.06 in)] as

shown.
30) Set the piano wire in the holes on both ends of the sleeve,

and insert a 10 mm bolt into the sleeve cylinder to secure
the piano wire as shown.

31) Remove the sleeve from the cylinder comp. by pulling the
12
piano wire.
Remove the O-ring from the sleeve.
13
Replace the O-ring with a new one on reassembly.

NOTICE
• If it is hard to remove the sleeve from the cylinder comp.,
15
wrap a shop towel or equivalent material around the
screwdriver, hook it on the piano wire and remove the
cylinder comp. with care not to damage it.
16
• Take care not to damage the inner wall of the cylinder
comp. and sleeve.
