14) Remove the cylinder comp. from the vise.
15) Remove the piston rod comp., and drain the ATF
1
(automatic transmission fluid) from the cylinder comp. in a
suitable container.

16) Remove the O-ring from the bottom piece.
Replace the O-ring with a new one on reassembly.

17) Hold the bottom piece of the piston rod comp. in a vise

using a shop towel or equivalent material as shown, and
loosen the outer tube using the special tool.

TOOL:

Lock nut wrench, 30 x 40 mm
16 Remove the piston rod comp. from the vise.
NOTICE

Do not tighten the vise excessively, as it can damage the
bottom piece.
