Opening and closing
Particularly turbulent air can reduce the effect of
AIRCAP. This canarise when you are driving
behind another vehicle or if there is a crosswind,
for example.
AIRCAP consists of the following components:
a wind deflector above the windscreen
R
a draught stop behind both rear seat head
R
restraints
When AIRCAP is activated, the wind deflector
and the draught stop extend simultaneously.
AIRCAP can be activated or deactivated at
speeds of up to approximately 160 km/h.
& WARNING Risk of becoming trapped
when retracting AIRCAP
It is possible for persons to become trapped
when retracting AIRCAP.
Make sure that persons do not hold
#
onto the upper frame of the windscreen
and do not touch the wind deflector or
the draught stop.
Switch the ignition on.
#
Fold the armrest upwards.
#
To activate: press button 1.

AIRCAP extends and the indicator lamps on
button
1
light up.
To deactivate: press button
#
AIRCAP retracts and the indicator lamps on
button
1
go out.
If the vehicle is parked with the soft top open
and the power supply is switched off, AIRCAP
retracts automatically.
When you restart the engine after having been
parked, AIRCAP extends automatically.
Fitting and removing the folding draught
stop
& WARNING Risk of accident when using
the draught stop in poor visibility condi‐
tions
The draught stop impairs your view to the
rear, particularly when dark or in poor visibil‐
ity conditions.
Only use the draught stop in good visi‐
#
bility conditions.
& WARNING Risk of accident and injury
due to an incorrectly fitted draught stop
1
again.
If the draught stop is not correctly fitted it
can come loose during the journey and
endanger other road users.
