The TV tuner enables reception of digital chan‐
nels according to the following standards:

In some countries, the standards may not be
available, or may not be available in all areas.
A CA module (Conditional Access Module),
which is not included in the scope of delivery, is
used to decrypt HD programmes according to
the CI+ standard. In some countries, an addi‐
tional smart card is required, which is inserted
into the CA module (see the manufacturer's
operating manual).
The TV tuner is In the boot, in the rear bag on
the left-hand side behind the flap. The CA mod‐
ule is inserted into the TV tuner.
* NOTE Damage to the CA module and
Smart Card
The CA module is designed for use in the
home. When used on the move, the CA mod‐
ule may overheat in consistently high outside
temperatures and may be damaged.
Make sure that the CA module is not

subject to high temperatures for exten‐
ded periods of time.
If the CA module is damaged, no
encrypted channels can be received.
The TV tuner can receive programmes in Dolby
Digital Plus.

The TV tuner automatically sets the TV standard.

The conditions for reception may change

whilst the vehicle is in motion.
Poor reception conditions can have the following

The TV tuner switches to an alternative chan‐

nel with better reception which is digitally
broadcasting the same programme content
The TV tuner mutes the sound, freezes the
R
screen or hides it. The t symbol appears
in the display.
