Possible causes/consequences and
If the electric parking brake should not be applied, leave the ignition switched on, e.g. when washing the vehicle in
an automatic car wash or when having the vehicle towed. Do not do this when having the vehicle towed with the
rear axle raised.
If the electric parking brake is not applied automatically:
Switch off the ignition and switch it back on.

Release and then apply the electric parking brake manually (

If it is still not possible to apply the electric parking brake:
Consult a qualified specialist workshop.

Where necessary, also safeguard the parked vehicle against rolling away.
