Setting SCSI device termination

Introduction
If you will be connecting SCSI devices in a daisy chain, the last device in the daisy
chain must be terminated. This section describes how to terminate the SCSI devices.
ATTENTION
Supported daisy chain connection scenarios
The first device in a SCSI device daisy chain can be either the tape drive or the
CD-ROM drive. However, since the Tandberg SLR5 tape drive is already internally
terminated at the factory, Nortel Networks recommends that you connect the tape
drive as the last device.
Meridian 1
The following diagram shows the supported daisy chain and SCSI cable connections
for Meridian 1. The CD-ROM drive is the first device in the daisy chain. The tape
drive is the last device.

cables for Meridian 1" on page 60.
