7. Lay transmission on its side and remove motor cylin
der block assembly from the housing. Remove pump
cylinder block assembly from pump shaft (Fig. 46).
8. Remove the slipper guide and piston assemblies from
cylinder blocks (Fig. 47).
NOTE: Pump and motor cylinder block assemblies are
identical. To avoid mixing wear patterns, do not mix parts
between pump and motor cylinder block assemblies.
9. Use an o-ring pick or wire to remove thrust plates from
swashplate and housing (Fig. 48).
10. Use an internal hex wrench to remove pipe plug over
motor shaft bearing retaining pin (Fig. 49).
