P0320-NO CRANK REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM —
TEST
10 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CKP Sensor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the (K24) CKP Sensor Signal circuit in the CKP Sensor
harness connector.
Is the voltage above 5.0 volts?
Yes → Repair the short to battery voltage in the (K24) CKP Sensor
→ Go To 11
No
11 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CKP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Measure the resistance between the (K24) CKP Sensor Signal circuit and the (K7)
8-volt Supply circuit in the CKP Sensor harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the short between the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit and the
→ Go To 15
No
12 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CKP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit in the CKP Sensor harness
connector to ground.
Is the resistance below 100 ohms?
Yes → Repair the short to ground in the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit.
→ Go To 13
No
13 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CKP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit between the CKP Sensor
harness connector and the PCM harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 14
→ Repair the open in the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit.
No
14 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CKP Sensor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit in the CKP Sensor harness
connector.
Is the voltage above 8.5 volts?
Yes → Repair the short to voltage in the (K7) 8-volt Supply circuit.
→ Go To 15
No
ACTION
Signal circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
(K24) CKP Sensor Signal circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
