Setting up data interfaces
Serial interfaces on the TNC 320
The TNC 320 automatically uses the LSV2 transmission protocol
for serial data transfer. The LSV2 protocol is permanent and cannot
be changed except for setting the baud rate (machine parameter
baudRateLsv2). You can also specify another type of transmission
(interface). The settings described below are therefore effective
only for the respective newly defined interface.
Application
To set up a data interface, select the file management (PGM
MGT) and press the MOD key. Press the MOD key again and
enter the code number 123. The TNC shows the user parameter
GfgSerialInterface, in which you can enter the following settings:
Setting the RS-232 interface
Open the RS232 folder. The TNC then displays the following
settings:
Setting the BAUD RATE (baudRate)
You can set the BAUD RATE (data transfer speed) from 110 to 115
200 baud.
