Position of the hook and needle

Setting steps
1. Lock the machine in place at position 1 ( page 16).
2. Position the stitch length adjusting wheel to 0.
3. Loosen all four setscrews (2) for the hook clamping ring (1).
4. Turn the hook such that the hook tip (4) points exactly to the vertical
5. Tighten the setscrews (2) for the clamping ring (1).
6. Remove the lock ( page 17).
Order
Then check the following settings:
• Position of the needle guard ( 11.3 Adjusting the needle guard,
• Timing of cutting by the thread cutter ( 16.4 Adjusting the needle
