How to Adjust the Oscillate Limit
Switches
Tip-over hazard. Failure to
perform this procedure on a
firm, level surface could
compromise the stability of the
machine and could cause the
machine to tip over which will
result in death or serious injury.
Note: Perform this procedure with the machine on a
firm, level surface that is free of obstructions. Use a
digital level to confirm.
Note: This procedure will require two people.

Lower the boom to the stowed position.

Remove the drive chassis cover from the
circle-end of the machine.

Remove the oscillate axle limit switch
mounting fasteners. Remove the limit
switches.
Note: The oscillate axle limit switches are located
inside the drive chassis above the axle.

Place a digital level on the turntable rotate
bearing plate.

Start the engine and level the drive chassis.
Press down the foot switch and manually
activate the oscillate limit switches until the
machine is completely level.

Loosely install the limit switches. Using a feeler
gauge, establish a gap of 0.015 - 0.030 inches
/ 0.381 - 0.762 mm between the limit switch
plunger and the top of the axle.

Carefully hold the position of each limit switch
and tighten the limit switch mounting fasteners.

Verify the gap is 0.015 - 0.030 inches / 0.381 -
0.762 mm between the limit switch plunger
and the top of the axle.

Measure the distance between the drive
chassis and the axle on both sides (from the
inside of the drive chassis).
Result: The measurements should be equal.
Note: If the distance is not equal and the
adjustment to the limit switches was completed with
the ground and drive chassis level, consult Genie
Product Support.
