RPM Adjustment

Refer to Maintenance Procedure in the appropriate
Service or Maintenance Manual for your machine,
Check and Adjust the Engine RPM.

Flex Plate

The flex plate acts as a coupler between the engine
and the pump. It is bolted to the engine flywheel
and has a splined center to drive the pump.
Type "B" flex plates combines the pump coupler, as
part of the flex plate, which is installed onto the
engine flywheel.

How to Remove the Flex Plate

Note: Perform this procedure with the engine off
and cool to the touch.

Open the engine side turntable cover.

Tag and disconnect the battery cables from the
battery(s).
Electrocution/burn hazard.
Contact with electrically charged
circuits could result in death or
serious injury. Remove all rings,
watches and other jewelry.

Tag and disconnect the wiring plug at the
electronic displacement controller (EDC),
located on the drive pump.
