Configuring the phone via the Web configurator
Updating firmware for the base/downgrading firmware updates
You can start firmware updates and downgrades via the Web page:

Settings Management
Regular updates to the base firmware and the provider profile for your VoIP connections
(general provider data) are made available on an Internet configuration server. You can
download these updates onto your base as required. The URL for this server is stored in
the base.
You have the following options:

Starting a firmware update
If a new version of the firmware is available, this is downloaded to the base and the
base is restarted. A firmware update lasts around six minutes. The duration also
depends on the bandwidth of your DSL connection. The firmware is only loaded from
the Internet server if you have not entered a local file in the User defined firmware file
field prior to the update.

Downgrading firmware
You have the following options:
– You can reload the firmware version that was loaded before the last update on the
base.
– You can reload the firmware version that was loaded by default onto the phone.
The selected firmware is reloaded onto the phone and the current firmware is over-
written.

Starting a profile update
New profiles will be loaded onto the base, if available.
Displaying the phone status
The Status tab displays, for example, the following information about the phone:

IP and MAC address for the base as well as the name used in the network

Version of the firmware currently loaded
The version is shown in the following format: aa.bbb (aabbbzzzzzzz)
aa denotes the phone's product variant, bbb is the version of the firmware and
zzzzzzz the sub-version (only significant for the service)
Edition 42.0450 means that version 45 of the firmware is currently loaded on your base.
