4. Connecting the PC to the router (optional)
You can change the settings on the phone's base using a PC connected to your phone via
the router.
PC system requirements:

Ethernet port
u
Web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0 or higher, or Mozilla Fire-
fox version 3.5 or higher

DHCP must be activated (e.g., Windows XP):

Click Start – Settings - Control panel – Network connections.

Double-click the entry for the LAN connection with which your PC is connected to the base.

In the General tab.

Select Internet protocol (TCP/IP) and click the Properties button.
In the General tab, activate the Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server

address automatically options.
Click OK or Close.

Connect the PC Ethernet
connection
additional LAN socket
on your router.
You will need an Ethernet
cable Cat 5 with RJ45 mod-
ular jacks.
