Replenish the brake fluid reservoir

bleeding the brake
system. Make sure
that

some fluid visible in the reservoir.

and disconnect
the
pipe. Fill the reservoir
to
the
'Wigig' level
line.

Attach
a pipe to the
caliper
bleeder valve,
MASTER CYLINDER DISASSEMBLY.
and insert the free end of the
pipe
into
a
0
receptacle.
Bleed the
left caliper first,
and then the
right
caliper.
Squeeze and
release
the brake lever
several
times in sapid succession, and
squeeze the
lever
fully without releasing
it.
Loosen
the
bleeder valve
by turning it
a
quarter
of
a
turn or so so that
the
brake fluid runs into
the
receptacle;
tlis will remove
the
tension
of the
brake lever causing
it
to touch the
handlebar grip.
Then, close
the valve,
p u m p and
squeeze
the lever, and open the

Remove the front brake lever: pull off
the
cotter pin and remove the n u t - t o free the
lever
for removal.
Remove
the
boot. Take
out
the circlip
from the bore of
the
master
cylinder with
special tool

NOTE:
Discard the rerno
ved boor. Replace with
a
new
boot
when reassembling.
