REARING PRELOAD ADJUSTMENT

After the nut is tightened
to
specificat~on,
turn the
gear several turns in both direc-
tions
to
seat
the bearings.
Use special tools
:Tj
and 1 2 8 and
a socket to
measure
the torque necessary to turn the
gear. This
