PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
PROCEDURES
This section describes the service procedures
for each section of the Periodic Maintenance
requirements.
BATTERY
1 .
Remove
right frame cover to check
bat-
tery.
2. Check that the breather pipe
is
tightly
secured
and undamaged,
and
is routed as
shown
below.
3.
Check
electrolyte
for
level and specific
gravity.
Add distilled water, as
necessary,
to keep the
surface of
the electrolyte above
the
LOWER level
line but
not above
the
UPPER
level
line.

For checking specific

use
a
hydrometer
ro determine
the
charge
condizian.
