position.

Connect expansion boxes to the system unit

To connect external drives to a SCSI controller, do the following:
Follow the instructions that came with your worksystem

Turn off the system unit and any expansion boxes. Then

unplug the system unit power cord.
Hold the smaller, metal connector on the system-unit-to-

expansion-box cable so the flat side of the connector faces
down.
