10–12 Troubleshooting
Solution
1. Push the load/unload button four times.
2. Turn the tape drive off and then on once.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
2. Check your worksystem and communications software to
be sure that the device is installed and enabled properly.
3. Check your system software to be sure the printer is
installed in the software.
4. Shut down your worksystem software, if necessary, and
turn off the printer and the system unit.
5. Make sure the printer power cord is connected to an active
power source.
6. Make sure the printer cable connector is correctly
attached to one of the communications connectors on
the system unit.
7. Turn on the system unit and the printer.
If the problem is not fixed, see the manuals for your
printer.
