Eld Circuit High Voltage - Honda 2002 Accord Manual

DTC P1298; ELD Circuit High Voltage
1. Reset the ECM/PCM (see page 11-4).
2. Start the engine.
3. Turn on the headlights.
Is DTC P1298 indicated?
Y E S - G o t o step 4.
NO — Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Check f o r poor connections or loose wires at C204
(located under the right side of dash), the ELD, and
the ECM/PCM. •
4. Turn the ignition switch and headlights OFF.
5. Disconnect the ELD 3P connector.
6. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
7. Measure voltage between body g r o u n d and ELD 3P
connector terminal No. 1.

Is there battery voltage?
Y E S - G o to step 8.
NO —Repair open in the wire between the No. 6
ECU (PCM) CRUISE CONTROL (15A) fuse and the
ELD.B
8. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
9. Connect ELD 3P connector terminal No. 3 to body
ground w i t h a j u m p e r w i r e .

10. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector A (32P).
11. Check f o r continuity between ECM/PCM connector
terminal A30 and body g r o u n d .

NO —Repair open in t h e wire between the ECM
