PROBLEM
The exhaust noise level is
too high
Bursts at the muffler when
throttle control is released

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The reed valve on the sec-
ondary air device does not
close correctly and causes
damage to the rubber hose
between this device and the
head tube
No rubber seal on the first
filter
The vacuum port tube from
the secondary air device is
disconnected or cracked
Cut-off valve on secondary
air device
ACTION
Change device and hose
Install the missing seal
Change tube
Change secondary air de-
vice
