Cables Required
The cable required will depend on the type of SCSI adapter installed on your com-
puter. For use with the Adaptec AHA-1540B, you will require a cable with a 50 pin
Centronics type connector on both ends. This may also be called a SCSI-1 cable.
It should be available from your hardware supplier or can be ordered from your
DAT-Link
supplier.
Installing an ASPI Driver
To use these tools, you must have a SCSI adapter installed which supports Adaptec's
ASPI
Advanced SCSI Programming Interface (
). The software has been tested using
an Adaptec AHA-1540B SCSI Adapter. With this particular adapter, a device
ASPI
driver must be loaded to provide the
interface. This is done by adding the
CONFIG.SYS

After adding the above command you will need to reboot your computer for the

Choosing a SCSI ID

a list of connected devices will be printed on the console during boot time. Note
