Specify the digital input source used by the DAT-Link. The input_source argument may be
AES, RCA, Fiber or Live. This argument may be abbreviated to a single letter. If this option
i
s not supplied, or the Live option is setting is used, then the three possible input sources will
be scanned for an active input.
I
Interleave samples from each DAT-Link as they are acquired. Normally, samples are inter-
leaved on a block-by-block basis. Note that this option adds additional CPU load to the
r
ecording process, reducing the maximum throughput.
–f format
Specify format of digital audio data in file. The following formats are currently recognized:
raw
In this format, sampled data is stored as consecutive packed binary data with mos
significant byte first. This is the default format.
swap
The byte-ordering in this format is the reverse of the raw format. Note that thi
format increases the CPU overhead of dlmrec.

NOTES
Synchronization of multiple DAT-Link's is only possible with DAT-Link+ revision 1.6 or later.
Multiple DAT-Links can quickly use up all available SCSI bandwidth, eventually causing a data over
r
un which terminates dlmrec. Using a separate host adapter for the disk on which file resides from that
used to connect to the DAT-Links will allow greater throughput.
I
f multiple DAT-Link's are wired together using an external sync cable or external clock generator
(EXTCLK), then recording will hang if less than the total number of devices is specified, unless the
d
lmkrdy(1) program is used to force the unused units to signal that they are ready.
