Configuring Internet access

You must enter your Internet access data to enable you to use the Internet
telephony services and to surf the Internet from the PCs in your
HiPath BizIP network.
Data required
Different data is required depending on the connection type
(Connection Type).
For
PPPoE (generally used for a DSL connection):
– User name
– Password
You will receive your user name and password from your DSL provider.
If applicable, refer to your entries on
PPP user names are as follows for the DSL provider T-Com:
Example: AAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT#0001@t-online.de
1. Connection ID, 12 characters (A)
2. T-Online number (T)
3. Additional user number (with one user: 0001)
4. @t-online.de
The user name is case sensitive.
In the case of Static (if you have a permanent connection to a provider
with a fixed IP address):
– IP address
– Subnet mask
– Default gateway
– IP addresses (maximum 3)
For
DHCP (if the data for establishing the connection is delivered by
a DHCP server):
No other data is required here.
