Clean the UV Lamp Quartz Window
Introduction
Dust and other debris as well as ink mist can accumulate on the UV lamp windows. There is a
quartz window below each of the two sets of UV lamps.
When to do
Inspect and clean the lamp windows once a month. Do this while you are performing Daily
Maintenance as the access door will be open and the lamp windows visible and accessible.
Required tools
Poly-Wipe lint-free Cloth
Procedure
1.
Wipe the bottom of the quartz window with a lint-free cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol.
2. If you see any ink, it can be removed by scraping with a razor blade or similar tool held at a 45-
degree angle.
