Chapter 34: System Management Commands
This section describes commands used to configure information that uniquely
identifies the switch, and display or configure a variety of other system information.

hostname
This command specifies or modifies the host name for this device. Use the no form
to restore the default host name.
Syntax
hostname name
no hostname
name - The name of this host. (Maximum length: 255 characters)

Function
Specifies the host name for the switch
Restarts the system
Renumbers stack units
Enables support for jumbo frames
Displays the contents of the configuration file (stored in flash
memory) that is used to start up the system
Displays the configuration data currently in use
Displays system information
Shows all active console and Telnet sessions, including user
name, idle time, and IP address of Telnet clients
Displays version information for the system
