Disc Error
— Please eject the disc. —
Playback feature may not be
available on this Disc.
USB Device Error
— Please check the USB Device. —
There is no playable file in the USB
Device.
Or the format is not available.
SD Card Error
— Please check the Memory Device. —
There is no playable file in the
Memory Device.
Or the format is not available.
Region Error
Playback is not authorized in your
region.
Region code of this disc:
BD-Live Setting Error
Network connection is interrupted.
Please confirm "BD-Live Setting".
Software Update
Update failed.
Please power off.

Please unplug the AC cord.
And when you connect the AC cord,
the unit retry update.

Cause
• An unplayable disc is inserted in the unit.
• The disc is upside-down.
• Format of the files in the connected USB
device is not supported.
• Incompatible USB device is connected.
• Format of the files in the connected SD
card device are not supported.
• Incompatible SD card device is
connected.
• Playback is not authorised in the region
of the DVD-video that you inserted in the
unit.
• It is prohibited to access the network if
your BD-Live™ disc does not have the
certification of the creator of the
contents.
• The access may be prohibited or limited
by the "BD-Live Setting".
• Could not read the software.
• Software update is failed.
• The current selected parental level in the
"Settings" menu prohibits playback.
• The recording function encountered a
copy prohibited programme.
• You are trying to record onto a disc that
is unrecordable, or the disc status does
not satisfy recording requirements.
• The disc is dirty.
• The disc is damaged.
• You are trying to record onto a VR mode
DVD-RW which contains recordings from
another recorder.
• You are trying to record onto a BD-RE/-
R, VR mode DVD-RW, or DVD+RW/+R
that is set as protected in the "Settings"
Menu.
• You are trying to record onto a BD-RE,
BD-R that has no space for recording.
• You are trying to record onto a BD-RE/-R
on which the number of recorded titles
has reached the maximum.
• You are trying to record onto a BD-RE/-R
disc on which the number of recorded
chapters has reached the maximum.
Solution
• Insert a standard disc. (See pages 7-8.)
• Insert the disc with the labelled side
facing up.
• Insert a compatible USB device with
supported file format. If this does not
solve the problem, use other type of
compatible USB device.
• Insert a compatible SD card device with
supported file format. If this does not
solve the problem, use other type of
compatible SD card device.
• Insert a DVD-video with region code 2 or
ALL.
• Check the "BD-Live Setting".
• Restart the unit. Then retry the update.
• Unplug the mains cable, then plug it in
again. The unit will automatically resume
the update.
• Check the "Parental" setting.

• You cannot record copy prohibited
programmes.
• Insert a recordable disc, and ensure the
disc status satisfies the recording
requirements. (See page 27.)
• Clean the disc with a cleaning cloth.
• Replace the disc.
• Disc may need formatting.
• Remove the disc protect setting in the
"BD/DVD Menu". (See page 57.)
• Insert a recordable disc with enough
recording space.
• Delete unnecessary titles.
(See page 56.)
• Delete unnecessary titles.
• Delete unnecessary chapter marks.
