[SETUP] A "Settings" A "Playback" A "Parental"
Some BD-videos or DVD-videos feature a parental lock level.
Playback will stop if the ratings exceed the levels you set, it
will require you to enter a password before the disc will play
back. This feature prevents your children from viewing
inappropriate material.

When you select "Parental" and press
[ENTER\OK], the password entry field will
appear.

If a password has not been set, follow A).
If a password has already been set, follow B).
If you want to change the password, follow B)
and C).
A)Enter 4 digit password using [the Number buttons],
then press [ENTER\OK].
• "4737" cannot be used.
B)Enter 4 digit password.
C)Select "Password Change", then press [ENTER\OK].
Enter the new password.

Select the desired item to set, then press
[ENTER\OK].

Select the desired rating level, then press
[ENTER\OK].
• If you select "Age Setting", entry field will appear. Refer
to the description in the below table to continue.
<BD rating level>

"Off" : Sets no limit.
"Age Setting" : Allows you to enter the age to limit, and
prohibits the playback of a disc whose rating
level exceeds the age setting entered here.
• Enter the age as a 3-digit-number. (e.g., For
age 15, enter [0], [1], [5].)
• After entering the age, it automatically goes
back to the previous screen.
<DVD rating level>

"Off" : All parental locks are cancelled.
"8" : DVD software of any grade (adult / general /
children) can be played back.
"7" to "2" : Only DVD software intended for general use
and children can be played back.
"1" : Only DVD software intended for children can
be played back.

Press [SETUP] to exit.
Note
• Press [CLEAR] to erase numbers entered incorrectly.
• If you forget your password or you want to clear all
settings in "Parental", enter [4], [7], [3], [7] using
[the Number buttons] at the option window. Your
password is cleared and parental levels are set to "Off".

You can control all HDMI-CEC compatible devices connected
via an HDMI cable by simple button operations of the remote
control of this unit.
Functions available for the fun-Link(HDMI CEC)
One Touch Play
When this unit is turned on, or when one of the buttons on the
remote control listed below are used, the TV will automatically
be turned on and switched to the appropriate input channel.
Buttons for one touch play:
[TIMER PROG.], [SETUP], [PROG. G \ H], [GUIDE]
[the Number buttons], [INPUT SELECT], [PLAY B],
[TOP MENU], [POP MENU\MENU]
System Information
Get & Set Display Menu Language
This unit recognises the OSD language set for the TV and
automatically set the same language as the "Display Menu
Language" (OSD menu language) for this unit.
• Available only when the "Display Menu Language (fun-Link)"
is set to "On" in the setup menu. (See page 65.)
System Standby
When you turn the TV off, this unit and all devices connected
via an HDMI cable will automatically be turned off except
during recording on the unit.
Receiving operational signal from TV's remote control:
You can operate this unit with TV's remote control. Check your
TV owner's manual for details.
Note
• This function may not work properly depending on the
connected TV.
• The available operation may differ depending on the TV's
remote control you use.
• Other devices must be compatible with fun-Link (HDMI
CEC) in order to use this function.
