Symptom
Titles cannot be edited or deleted.
Dubbing cannot be executed.

The capacity of the disc doesn't

• The titles or the disc itself may be protected. Cancel the protection.
(See pages 55 and 57.)
• When the number of the titles or the chapters exceeds the maximum recordable
number, the dubbing will not be executed.
• The titles in the BD-R, video mode DVD-RW, DVD-R/+R cannot be edited or
deleted if they are finalised.
• With DVD+RW and video mode DVD-RW, the disc space will increase only
when the last title is deleted.
• Check if the disc is compatible for recording. (See page 37.)
• No batteries in the remote control or the batteries may be weak. Replace the
batteries.
• Make sure there is no obstacle between the remote control and the unit.
• Try getting closer to the unit. (See page 12.)
• If above solutions do not solve the problem, please call an Authorised Service
Centre.
• Check if the LAN cable connection is properly made.
• Turn on the modem or broadband router.
• Check the network settings.
• Check if the broadband router and/or modem is correctly connected.
• Check the "BD-Live Setting".
• Check the content of your Internet service contract to see if your Internet
Service Provider prevents multiple terminals connecting at the same time.
• The format of the card is not accepted by this unit or the card is not compatible.
• Check if the card is properly inserted.
• Data may be written to the SD card when a BD-video that supports the virtual
package is used and an SD card is in the slot.
• Insert an SD card with enough space (1GB or more).
• Check if an SD card is correctly inserted.
• Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
• Insert an SD card (1GB or more) which is formatted on this unit.
• Some discs with BD-Live™ function require memory when playing back the
content.
• Do not remove the SD card during playback.
• Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
• Check if the USB device is compatible with this unit.
• Check if the USB device is properly connected.
• If you are connecting a camcorder or digital camera which uses an SD card as a
memory media using USB cable, try inserting the SD card directly to the unit.
• The USB device may not be recognised if connected during playback,
recording, or dubbing.
