Adding or Deleting Chapter Marks
Manually ("Chapter Mark")
Read "Guide to Edit Menu Screen" on page 54 first.
To add...

Highlight "Add". (Do not press [ENTER\OK]
yet.)

Play the title up to the point where you want to
add a chapter mark.
• You can use [PLAY B], [SKIP H], [SKIP G],
[REV E], [FWD D], [PAUSE F] as usual.

When it comes to the point, press [ENTER\OK].
• A chapter mark will be added, and a black line will
appear in the progress bar.

Press [RETURN\BACK] to exit.
To delete...

Highlight "Delete". (Do not press [ENTER\OK]
yet.)

Play back the chapter which begins with the
chapter mark you want to delete, then press
[ENTER\OK].
For example, if you want to delete chapter mark
#2, press [ENTER\OK] while playing back
chapter 2.
e.g.) Deleting chapter mark #2
CHP
If you want to delete chapter mark #2,
mark #1
CHP
press [ENTER\OK] while playing back this
mark #2
section.

• You can use [PLAY B], [SKIP H], [SKIP G],
[REV E], [FWD D], [PAUSE F] as usual.
• A chapter mark will be deleted, and a black line will
disappear from the progress bar.

Press [RETURN\BACK] to exit.
Note
• Refer to page 28 for the maximum recordable numbers of
titles / chapters.
• Only with regard to disc editing, you may not be able to add
chapter marks depending on the duration of the title or the
number of chapters.
• Only with regard to disc editing, remaining time of the disc
may decrease when adding chapter marks or increase when
clearing chapter marks depending on the recording time or
edited contents.
Hiding Chapters ("Hide Chapter")
Read "Guide to Edit Menu Screen" on page 54 first.
To hide...

Highlight "Hidden". (Do not press [ENTER\OK]
yet.)

Go to the chapter you want to hide.
• You can use [PLAY B], [SKIP H], [SKIP G],
[REV E], [FWD D], [PAUSE F] as usual.

While playing back the chapter to hide, press
[ENTER\OK].
• "Hidden" will appear in the preview window. Now, this
chapter will be skipped when you play back the title.
To revert...

Highlight "Visible". (Do not press [ENTER\OK]
yet.)

Go to the chapter you want to revert.
• You can use [PLAY B], [SKIP H], [SKIP G],
[REV E], [FWD D], [PAUSE F] as usual.

While playing back the chapter to revert, press
[ENTER\OK].
• "Visible" will appear in the preview window. The chapter
can now be seen when you play back the title.

Press [RETURN\BACK] to exit.
Protecting Titles ("Protect OffAOn")
Read "Guide to Edit Menu Screen" on page 54 first.

When you select "Protect OffAOn" and press
[ENTER\OK], a confirmation message should
have appeared. Select "Yes", then press
[ENTER\OK].
• Once the title is protected, the menu changes to "Protect
OffAOn". Select it and press [ENTER\OK] to release
the title from the protection.
• The protected title will be marked with
