3.13 MEASUREMENT OF THE TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION
(THD) AND DISPLAY OF THE ORDER OF HARMONICS ORDER
The device measures the total harmonic distortion with respect to the
fundamental (THDf), the total harmonic distortion with respect to the true RMS
value of the signal (THDr) in voltage and in current, then the level (with respect to
the fundamental), frequency, and RMS value of each order of harmonic.
The frequency of the fundamental is determined by digital filtering and FFT for
the network frequencies of 50, 60, 400, and 800Hz.
