proceeding in the same way, or by proceeding as for the measurement on a
single-phase network, then multiplying the value by three.
3.10.3 Four Quadrant Diagram
In order to correctly determine the sign of the active and reactive powers, refer to
the diagram below, which determines:
- positive active power (W) = power consumed
- negative active power = power generated
- reactive power (var) and active power of the same sign = inductive
power
- reactive power and active power of opposite signs = capacitive power
