CYLINDER HEAD

1. Remove:
Valve pads
Lifters
Spark plugs

NOTE:
Identify each lifter and pad position very care-
fully so that it can be reinstalled in its original
place.

Attach:
Valve Spring Compressor

Remove:
retainers
spring seat
springs

seal
spring seat
0
NOTE:
Deburr any deformed valve stem end. Use an oil
stone t o smooth the stem end.

4. Eliminate:
deposit
Use rounded scraper.
NOTE:
Do not use a sharp instrument and avoid damag-
ing or scratching.
