SHAFT DRIVE
DRIVE SHAFT
Removal
1. Remove:
Rear wheel
Final gear assembly
Drive shaft
Inspection
1. Inspect:
Drive shaft splines
Replace.
Installation
When installing the dirve shaft, reverse the
removal procedure. Note the following points.
1. Lubricate:
splines
Molybdenum Disu If i de Grease
2. Install:
Drive shaft
Before installing, first set the universal joint in
place on the middle case side.
3.
Apply:
*Sealant (Quick
To the mating surfaces of both case halves.
4. Tighten:
Nuts (final gear case)
Nuts (Final Gear Case) :
42 Nm (4.2
