FRONT BRAKE ADJUSTMENT/REAR BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

FRONT BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

1. Loosen:
Lockunt
2.
Adjust:
*Free play
Turn the adjuster
is within the specified limits.
Proper lever free play is essential to avoid
excessive brake drag.
A soft or spongy feeling in the brake lever
can indicate the presence of air in the brake
system. This air must be removed by bleeding
the brake system before the motorcycle is
operated. Air in the system will cause greatly
diminished braking capability and can result in
loss
of control and an accident. Inspect and
bleed the system if necessary.

Tighten:
Locknut

REAR BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

1. Loosen:
Locknut
2.
Adjust:
*Brake pedal height
Turn the adjuster
pedal position is a t the specified height.
Brake Pedal Height
20 mm (0.8 in)
Below the Top of the Footrest
After adjusting the brake pedal height, visually
check the adjuster end through the hole
the joint holder. The adjuster end must appear
within this hole.
