1. Check:

Defective components
Defective bulb
Defective oil level gauge
Check for:
1 2 V on Brown lead to indicator

O I L L E V E L GAUGE TEST
1. Drain:
oil

Remove:
level gauge
3. Measure:
level gauge resistance
Use the Pocket Tester
O u t of specification
O i l Level Gauge Resistance:
Float is down
Float is up
Ground
4. Install:
level gauge
5. Connect:
Leads
6. Fill:
Crankcase
Refer to "CHAPTER
PLACEMENT" section.
Replace.
