INSPECTION AND REPAIR F Put a piece of Plastigauge on each main journal. NOTE: Do not put the Plastigauge over the oil hole in the main journal of the crankshaft. F Install the lower half of the bearings into the crankcase (lower) and assemble the crank- case halves.

F Install the upper half of the bearing into the connecting rod and lower half of the bearing into the connecting rod cap.
