INSPECTION AND REPAIR
CYLINDER HEAD
1. Remove:
•Valve pads
•Lifters
•Spark plugs
NOTE: ~-------------------------
Identify each lifter and pad position very careful-
ly so that it can be reinstalled in its original place.
2. Attach:
•Valve Spring Compressor (YM-04019)

3. Remove:
•Valve retainers

•Valve spring seat

•Valve springs

•Oil seal@
•Valve spring seat

•Valve@
NOTE: --------------------------
Deburr any deformed valve stem end. Use an oil
stone to smooth the stem end.

4. Eliminate:
•Carbon deposit
(from combustion chamber)
Use rounded scraper.
NOTE:

Do not use a sharp instrument and avoid damag-
ing or scratching:
•Spark plug threads
•Valve seat
•Aluminum
