Cause
1. Dirty air filter
2. Worn piston rings
3. Worn piston or cylinder liner
4. Mixture too rich
1. Spark plug electrode gap too close
2. Heat rating too high
3. Mixture too lean
1. Cables running to voltage regulator
improperly connected or shorted
2. Voltage regulator faulty
3. Generator coil faulty
1. Voltage regulator faulty
1. Battery terminals dirty
1. Charge voltage too high or too low (when they
are not used, batteries should be recharged at
least once a month)
