Installing the Processor Air Duct

1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
Information".
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power
cable(s).
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
Cover".
4. Turn processor air duct over to reveal underside.
5. If two processors are installed: remove air dam by sliding slotted holes off duct
pins.
Notes: Do not remove the air dam if only one processor is installed.
Do not remove memory air deflector.
