After removing the shock absorber, clean it thoroughly.

Choose and mount a suitable spring.

Weight of rider: 65... 75 kg (143... 165 lb.)
Weight of rider: 75... 85 kg (165... 187 lb.)
Weight of rider: 85... 95 kg (187... 209 lb.)

The spring rate is shown on the outside of the spring.
Smaller weight differences can be compensated by changing the spring preload.

Install the shock absorber.

Check the static sag of the shock absorber. (

Check the riding sag of the shock absorber. (

Adjust the rebound damping of the shock absorber. (

The heim joint for the shock absorber at the swing arm is Teflon coated. It
must not be greased with grease or with other lubricants. Lubricants dis-
solve the Teflon coating, thereby drastically reducing the service life.
